VEHICLE HISTORY / REASON REMOVED FROM SERVICE
IMPORTANT: According to the department that previously operated this vehicle, the primary reason it was removed from passenger service was due to ADA/accessibility and passenger-door clearance issues.
The passenger door would not open fully, which obstructed the passenger walkway and created an unsafe condition for passengers entering and exiting the vehicle.
A set of passenger seats near the doorway had previously been removed in an attempt to provide additional clearance; however, this did not provide sufficient space. According to the department, further reconfiguration of the passenger-door/seating area would have been required to address the issue.
The vehicle was therefore removed from shuttle service because it did not meet the department's ADA/accessibility requirements in its existing passenger configuration.
This history is being provided to help prospective bidders understand why the vehicle was originally taken out of passenger service. It should not be interpreted as a representation that the vehicle is presently operational.

The above information is based on available departmental history and is provided for informational purposes only. UCSF Surplus has not independently verified the current condition of the transmission or other mechanical/electrical components.
